Nestled near Udaipur in Rajasthan’s Aravalli hills, Ranakpur’s Chaumukha Mandir stands as a pinnacle of Jain temple architecture and engineering brilliance.

Constructed in the 15th century, its vast complex boasts over 1,440 individually carved marble pillars—no two alike—each adorned with exquisite floral, deity, and geometric motifs that defy the era’s technology.

Ranakpur lies about a scenic 3-hour drive from Udaipur through the lush Aravalli hills, where wildlife sightings often thrill travelers along the route.

Best Visiting Seasons

Post-monsoon through winter—July to February—offers the most enchanting views.

Dawn and dusk safaris in nearby Ranakpur Tiger Reserve promise exhilarating, up-close leopard encounters for adventure seekers.

Where to stay ?

Our first choice place was King’s Abode, a grand and luxury place to stay and dine-in. The rooms were spacious and the central pool with greenery was calming.
